Here you will find the answers to the most common requests (the most “frequently asked questions”) addressed to The Source team.
The Source library is open to the public from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Isara and The Source are closed during the end-of-year and summer holidays.
The library is located on the 1st floor of Isara, at 23 rue Jean Baldassini, Lyon 7e.
Students can borrow 8 documents (3 books, 4 journals, 1 DVD), for 14 days.
You can request an extension from the team – on site or via the contact form – before the end of the loan period (1 extension of 7 days, if the document is not reserved by another person).

Books
To locate a book in the reading room, use its call number (composed of 2 letters and 4 numbers) available in the online catalog of The Source.

DVD and CD-Rom
DVDs, audio CDs and CD-Roms are directly available in the reading room. They have the same call numbers as the books. You can then find the document thanks to the letters displayed on the shelves in the reading room.

To obtain a journal or magazine article, it is necessary to know the name of the journal/magazine in which it was published, its issue number and year of publication. This information is available in The Source’s online catalogue.

You can then help yourself to the metal furniture containing the latest issues of each title.
Please note that journals prior to 2017 are stored in the archive! Ask a librarian at the main desk to obtain them.
To consult online resources and in particular our subscription databases (Europresse, ScholarVox, Web of Science, etc.), you must first connect to Doc.Isara via the username and password fields at the top right of this page, using your personal Isara account.
You will then have access to all content on authentication via the online resources page, and you will be able to know the connection methods to each of them: on site or remotely, via IP connection, identifiers to be entered, etc.
By connecting to the Doc.Isara portal with your student identifiers, then by querying the catalogue of the documentary collection of The Source using keywords or author names, and by selecting the type of document “Mémoire (MFE)”, you will have access to the descriptive records and PDF versions of non-confidential dissertations published since 2001.
You need to consult a book for your research, but The Source does not have it? You have identified a scientific article online, but cannot access the full text?
Use the Interlibrary Loan form (ILL) to make a request to the librarians: specify the context of your work and indicate the bibliographic information (title, author, publisher, etc.) necessary to obtain the reference you are looking of. Quick response guaranteed!
